My coworker was discussing with me about how his wife’s 400 dollar Dyson worked great because of how fast it dried her hair. Being hesitant, I waited and this item went on sale for prime day so I jumped on the deal. In comparison to my 15 dollar blow drier it is a night and day difference. I have long thick curly hair a little shorter than the middle of my back. I have to say this thing completely dried my hair in under 15 minutes (I timed it). Combining this with an absorbent hair towel it now takes me under 10 minutes to dry my hair. The packaging feels like an Apple product because it is so elegant. It is extremely quiet, blows enough air on the high setting, very light. The attachments being magnetic are so satisfying that you don’t have to fiddle with them clipping on. I brought with me on my trip to visit family internationally and have no complaints. My favorite feature has to be the temperature as you can press and hold the temperature for a few seconds until the led light begins to change colors on its own and it will cycle from high heat to cold automatically. Makes drying my hair actually enjoyable. I no longer go to bed with wet hair. Beats spending 400 dollars for the Dyson productI have always been a huge fan of Dyson products, so when they introduced their hair dryer I was sold and didn’t blink an eye at spending $400 +. Well its been 4+ years and my Dyson started giving me problems of overheating and shutting itself off several times while drying my hair. This went on for about a year because I didn’t want to spend another $400. My boyfriend heard my frustration and found a few dryers online for me to try, knowing I could return them if I wasn’t satisfied. The first hair dryer I purchased was nowhere close to my Dyson, I was immediately disappointed and I returned it. I looked at another brand at about $30 more and thought, I may experience the same problem with it if I compared it to my Dyson and decided to move on to the Laifen hair dryer. For starters, it cost half the price of what I paid for my Dyson which was a good start. The specs were similar but had added features the Dyson did not, so I ordered it with fingers crossed in hopes that it would compare to my Dyson.OMGoodness!!!! The Laifen OUTSHINED and SURPASSED the Dyson in more ways than I can begin to count. I love the 2 sec intermittent temperature changes from cool to warm to hot, It’s so FUNCTIONAL while drying my hair and the buttons are easy to switch while handling the dryer. The temperature light indicator is a BRILLIANT idea (kudos to your designer). It’s quieter than the Dyson and last but not lease, my hair quality looks amazing!Gratefully and yours truly,Your Newest Laifen FANI received my Laifen hair dryer yesterday and used it last night. Wow! I am 65 with really thick, really healthy, long hair. However, after drying my hair, even with good quality ionic hair dryers, I have to wait until the next morning before it settles down. I bought this dryer because it was the only one to spell out the quantity of negative ions generated. It makes an amazing difference. My hair dried in 8 minutes instead of 15-20 and the results were spectacular. The hair was soft and silky right away. Also, if I had not had time to style it this morning, it would have still looked really good. I don't ever want to be without one of these again.I bought one for myself and one for my Mom 4 months ago. We use them daily and have had zero problems! They're super lightweight, powerful, look upscale, and they dry so fast! The 2 levels of heat, 2 levels of power, and the cooling setting are very nice to have, as well as the magnetic filter on the bottom that's so easy to clean. Our hair still feels nice and silky after use.Like everyone, I was comparing this to the more expensive brand. I think this is the smarter choice and am very impressed. It's a huge improvement over my $40 Conair 1875W cool shot hair dryer I used for nine years. I don't miss that it died.The Laifen appearance is great. Minimalist and simple. Well-balanced and feels light. The attachments are magnetic and I'm happy there are two different concentrators as a choice for styling.The noise level is a huge improvement over a Conair "Quiet" dryer. The Laifen sounds only like a rush of air. You barely hear the motor at either level, it's more like wind. I'm sure I can even use this on my dog after giving her a bath and she won't mind. I think this will lower stress and protect my own hearing.The drying power is ideal. The low speed moves a nice volume of air, not wimpy. The high speed is very powerful yet still allows some control. The temperature choices are no heat, medium and high as displayed by the light ring. Medium heat is hot enough for styling, but not so hot you'd worry about damaging hair. High heat will definitely make you keep the dryer moving and avoid lingering on skin. To style my short straight hair with a round brush, I am using low speed with medium heat. High speed will dry faster, but will look wind swept if that's what you want.The cord is heavy duty soft rubber, not plastic. It's easy to manage and resists tangling. The 6-foot length is taller than me, so I wouldn't want it any longer.This is the best hair dryer I have owned. It is a lot of money, but I feel it is worth it for the ease and efficiency everyday. I can't imagine the more expensive brand being better and according to comparison reviews on Youtube it is not.I rarely do reviews unless something g is worth reviewing. I must say this has blown me away!! My son got me this for my bday that’s coming up and I used it for the first time and OMG!!! I thought it would take a few times using before I could see a difference but I was able to see it right away. I have thick hair- which usually takes 10+ mins to dry. I always have to use a fan bc I’m so hot while blow drying my hair. It took 5mins tops to dry my hair with this dryer and no heat. I had it set on the warm setting. My hair has no frizz and looks and feels amazing. I honestly don’t think I will have to use a flat iron now bc this dryer does so good. Get the dryer!!! I thought, judging by all the high ratings and the high cost, it would be a good purchase. My hair is curly and sometimes frizzy. This machine made my hair crunchy, not smooth. Very disappointed. Not sure why it rated so high. Don’t believe the hype.
