This is a very nice salt lamp and love that it is different than others I have tried since it doubles as a white noise machine. It is very easy to set up - basically unpack it, plug it in, put the salt in it. It comes with a remote as well that lets you explore all of its options.Took a star off because it is difficult to turn off completely...I found that when using the remote it was not terribly responsive so it would take a bit of effort to shut it off completely. The SAME problem seems to happen with the power button on the lamp itself, too. On more than one occasion I turned it off, or at least I thought I did...there was no light showing or sound playing...only to return to that room and find that the light was on full brightness. So either I have a ghost who really likes this lamp, or there's a misfire somewhere. Have not figured that out yet, and unfortunately the instructions are not very helpful. (I have just been unplugging it for now when I leave the house for an extended period to avoid fire hazard)Overall this is a cool lamp that would make a great addition to any room...the only concern is it's strong will to refuse to be turned off LOL.
